On December 28th, Monee is launching on Product Hunt.
For those who don’t hang around tech circles: Product Hunt is a platform where new apps are presented to the world. It’s a big deal for independent developers like me. It’s the moment you step out of your quiet coding bubble and see if the rest of the world finds your work useful.
Why launch during the holidays?
It actually fits the Monee philosophy perfectly.
By the 28th, the holiday rush is over. The gifts are unwrapped (and paid for). It’s usually the moment when my wife and I sit down, look at our joint account, and take a deep breath. It’s the best time to reset and look at the year ahead.
That’s exactly what Monee is for.
I didn’t build this app to be another subscription you forget about. I built it because, with two small kids (5 and 2) and a busy job, I needed clarity. I don’t want "smart" algorithms guessing my categories. I want to know exactly what’s coming in and what’s going out.
We believe that manually tracking expenses is the only way to really stay conscious of your spending. It takes five seconds to enter a purchase, but that tiny friction point makes you think. It stops the mindless consumption that’s so easy to fall into—especially when buying things online late at night.
How you can help
Since the launch is set for December 28th, the page is currently in "Coming Soon" mode.
I’m not asking for money or a subscription. I’m just asking for a bit of attention on launch day to help get the ball rolling.

If you click "Follow Monee," you’ll get a ping when we go live.
If you have a moment on the 28th—maybe while the kids are napping or you’re hiding from relatives—I’d love for you to stop by, check out the app, and leave some honest feedback.
We keep our finances simple: long-term investing in ETFs, conscious spending on family activities, and avoiding unnecessary status symbols. Monee reflects that. It’s simple, privacy-focused, and built for trust between partners.
Enjoy the holidays, eat some good food, and hopefully, I’ll see you on the 28th.
